TINIES DANCE TIME, 2-4 years of age
Toddler Dance is a specialised class for toddlers aged 2 - 4. Students have fun dancing, singing and acting to music while learning basic jazz skills.
JAZZ / MODERN, from 5 years of age
Jazz introduces a supple strength to the body, as well as a strong sense of rhythm and co-ordination. It is an enjoyable way to keep fit, while toning and firming the body, to modern music.
A jazz class begins with isolations, to train the dancer to use each part of his/her body separately, while warming up the body in preparation for more vigorous movements. Floor exercises are then practiced to work on the extension of the legs and feet, control of the back, and strengthening of the abdominal muscles. Technical exercises follow, such as, kicks, turns, leaps and short sequences. Routines are built on from class to class.

CLASSICAL / BALLET, from 5 years of age
Ballet is the very graceful, and is the most disciplined, of all dance styles. Classical lessons train the muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints to be strong and supple. The movement of the entire body must flow, looking soft, graceful and effortless, yet to do this, great strength, and control is essential.
Ballet lessons begin at the barre, maintaining correct posture, while warming up, and strengthening the body through a series of exercises. Barre is followed by centre work, which teaches balance, control, grace and elevation, as sequences are practiced, and routines are learnt.

LYRICAL, from 8 years of age
Lyrical is a blend of Jazz and Ballet techniques. The lyrics of the music inspire the choreography and the dancer's expression of emotion.

TAP, from 5 years of age
Tapping is the rhythmical beating of the tap shoes on a wooden floor or stage. The tap shoe has two metal plates (taps) screwed to the sole of each shoe. These taps are used to hit, dig, step, spring, brush, slap, scuff, scrape and stamp on the floor to make various sounds. Tapping increases fitness and greatly strengthens the leg muscles.

ACROBATICS, from 5 years of age
Acrobatics is similar to the floor work of gymnastics. The class begins with cardio and a warm-up consisting of strengthening skills and stretching. Once warm, balances, bridges, and skills such as cartwheels, front limbers, front & back walkovers and roundoffs are practiced. Advanced students continue with a tumbling class, practicing forward & back handsprings, side & front aerials, back tucks & layouts. Acrobatics strengthens the entire body, and greatly increases the flexibility of all muscles and joints.

HIP HOP, from 8 years of age
Hip Hop is a modern, fun, and less technical style of dance which has evolved from breakdancing and rap, to a street style dance often seen in the latest music video clips. Develop rhythm, co-ordination and joint flexibility through body isolations, while gaining fitness and confidence.
